This policy describes what information The Rollover Ledger (“we,” “this site”) collects when you visit, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The short version: we run a publication, not a data business. We don’t require accounts, we don’t have an email list, and we don’t sell visitor data.
Who operates this site
The Rollover Ledger is published by [PUBLISHER NAME/ENTITY, COUNTRY]. Contact for privacy matters: contact@rolloverledger.com.
Information we collect
Technical data (automatic). Our hosting and CDN provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page — to deliver the site, cache content, and protect against abuse. This processing is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy documentation. We see this data only in aggregate.
Analytics. We use privacy-focused, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. We do not build individual visitor profiles, and analytics data is not combined with any other data about you.
Affiliate click data. When you click an affiliate link (marked with our disclosure and routed via /go/ links), the destination company and its tracking systems record that your visit came from this site so commissions can be attributed. From that point, their privacy policies govern. We see aggregate click counts, never your identity.
Information you send us. If you email us — a correction, a question — we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle it. That’s the only personal information we ever hold directly.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data for advertising.
- We do not run third-party ad networks or their tracking scripts.
- We do not send marketing email; we have no mailing list.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. This site’s subject matter is retirement accounts; it is not directed at children.
Cookies
This site itself sets no marketing or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes. Affiliate destinations set their own cookies after you click through; your browser settings control these.
Your rights
If you’re in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law: you have rights to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we don’t sell or share personal information as those laws define it, there is nothing to opt out of — but you may still contact us at contact@rolloverledger.com with any request and we’ll respond within the statutory window.
If you’re in the EU/EEA or UK: to the extent GDPR applies, our legal basis for the minimal technical processing above is legitimate interest (operating and securing a website). You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection; contact contact@rolloverledger.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Data retention
Server and security logs are retained per Cloudflare’s standard schedules. Email correspondence is deleted when no longer needed. We hold nothing else.
Changes
We’ll update this page when practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
